I have a 22" widescreen monitor on a Ergotron arm and can turn it vertically. I press Ctrl+Alt+Left to flip it 90 degrees anti-clockwise, then launch Future Pinball. To do this video was a pain. I had to rotate the monitor, lower the resolution, then run CamStudio to capture video, Audacity to capture sound, then manually merging the audio and video in Windows Movie Maker. Encoded to a portable video size (Zune 1MBps).

  • This video was a proof of concept. The thing that is so great about future pinball is that it'll do vertical screen natively. Using F11 mode, you can fly the camera anywhere and leave it there. I cycled through the different camera angles in the video just to show how Future Pinball renders the tables in real 3d and not a pre-rendered backdrop like Virtual Pinball. I agree that it would be "just plain idiot", as you so eloquently put it, to play in that mode LOL.

  • WOW......I just pushed Ctrl+Alt+Left on my Acer laptop and it rotated the screen 90 degrees. I didn't know it could do that.

  • How do you change emulation speed. I hit some damn keyboard keys tryinhg to figure out to the keys to try and insert coins and start the game, and now VIsual Pinball plays any table at a million miles an hour. You shoot the ball and its through the table and then lost down the bottom. No answers anywhere on the internet, this shit is driving me fucking insane...

  • Is there a way to set manually the camera, save position, and start every table with the saved camera?

    Thaks :)

  • how do you set it vertically? it just covers half of my screen. Thanx

  • With 1.9, you can now set it to arcade rendering mode. No more F11 and re-positioning.

  • Since Christmas 2008, Future Pinball V1.9 now supports full screen flattened view and in game arcade rendering (rotated mode). So there is no longer the need to change the rotation in windows itself and the game will run at full speed (as opposed to the slower rotated mode on some video cards).

  • awesome... mr. bungle sampled the "RIDE THE FARRIS WHEEL" part

  • Setting Future Pinball on vertical mode AND moving camera is just plain idiot.

  • It can be made to stay still and be completely flat. You can press F11 and move the camera manually. It doesn't move then.

Also, you can set it to look top down as default if you want.
