My dissertation topic for the IET MSc course 2007 - 2008
In this project a USB camera tracks the user's body position, the head is tracked with the aid of a Wii remote and Infra-Red LEDs mounted on a pair of glasses, while the (mock-up) Kendo stick will be tracked with a combination of IMU (using the Wii controller) and vision.
Everything is done in real-time.

  • Great work. I'm glad to see people are already taking this new technology and testing out different ways of utilizing it. I know a lot of people will probably watch this video and think it's lame, not truely understanding what they are witnessing. The future of gaming looks bright.

  • Thanks for the comment. But yes you are right I was very sceptical of the Wii when it came out and thought it would never pick up, was I wrong though :)
