A Visit to Chesterfield Station on 23rd February 2011, Chesterfield Station on the Midland Main Line which is operated by East Midlands Trains. In the feature video we see a mixture of Stock from Northern Rail Class 158's, East Mindland Trains Class 185's and Class 222 Medridians. Also Cross Country Trains Class 220 Voyagers and Class 221 Super Voyager which used to be operated by Virgin Cross Country Trains. There are also three class 66's two from Freightliner and one from EWS / DB.

I hope you enjoyed the footage, the footage was filmed from the end of Platform one at Chesterfield Station, Also in the Gounds outside and above the station, and in the town centre where the Church Spire is located.

Thanks for watching.

  • Does this line get busy with freight workings during the week & weekends..?

  • love the music in this video! and great vid!

  • ah good old chez vegas, love livin in chesterfield, good times a plenty, go on train often as well

  • what the intro outro music?

  • sadly no EMT HST's then :(, I'm a fan of East midlands trains and the drivers of meridans (class 222) call them toy trains as they accelate so fast and they all prefer the good old HST's! :)

  • Very good Brdaley, haven't through there for many a year. Noticed that the signals here are route plated rather than the old controlling signal box (DC = Derby - Chesterfield & CS = Chesterfield - Sheffield). Ancient folklore apparantley is that if a female virgin were to marry in that church the spire will be come straight from crooked.
