This is my attempted recording of the ACA P-50 at State Fair Park in West Allis, WI. Despite a scheduled test, this siren and a number of others did not activate with the rest of Milwaukee County's system.

As of last year, Milwaukee County had installed new receiver software to control which sirens are activated and which are not. This non-activation was likely the intended result of using this feature. I also feel it is worth mentioning that I did not hear any sirens to my East, many of which should have been quite audible. It would seem that only sirens in the far western portion of the county were tested.

I did, however, get a decent ambient recording of a few other local sirens that did activate for the test. Among them are:

-ASC T-135AC/DC in Wauwatosa
-2 ACA P-50's in West Allis
-ACA P-15 in Milwaukee, WI

Towards the end, Elm Grove, Wi's T-121's can be heard testing in alert. They are separate from Milwaukee County's sirens.

  • T-128 in back rond

  • @TheNamloc100 That's a T-135 AC/DC. Closest T-128 is like 6 miles from there, not close enough to hear.

  • i herd that it only goes on when the place is open

  • @TheNamloc100 Nope, it's there to warn everything around it within approximately 2 miles, not just the Fairgrounds. It was not working at the time of this test, but has since been repaired.

  • This looks more like a P15 than a P50.

  • @Cobras7111 It is definitely a P-50. Totally different design to a P-15, hard to confuse to them.

  • I think this P-50 wasn't sounded until February 2012 because it has been in the same position until the 2012 test. I have a pic of it from 2 months ago and it didn't look any different.

  • @Bonemeal2 The single tone would be a newer T-135 AC/DC located in Wauwatosa. Check out my tornado warning videos, there's better audio of those same two types of sirens together.

  • First time I've ever heard a T-128/P-15(?) running simultaneously with a T-135/P-50.

  • does anyone have one of these in private ownership?
