This was the best casting on video! Thank you for making it so easy to understand.

Jeckina, I try to leave a long enough tail so that I can sew up a side seam when the piece is finished. Or, if you are knitting in the round like for a sock, you can trim that tail piece down to about 6 inches. Then, when you have finished knitting the garment, you weave this tail piece of yarn into the back of the work for about an inch to secure it and hide it from view. Trim the excess close to garment.

Thank you, this video was very helpful! However, I would like to know what to do when I'm done casting on? I have a little bit of a tail left and it seems like it should get cut or tied off before I begin my stitches... no one seems to cover this in-between step =/

Thank goodness I found this video! I know how to knit b/c I've been knitting (the same scarf) for years lol! I started it sophomore year in high school about 6 years ago XD. Anyway, I forgot how to cast on. I looked at pictures that were zero help, but this was great. I don't know what people are complaining about b/c I could see just fine. Doesn't make the words any less annoying though lol. THANK YOU! =)
