@NorCalBear84 How are you doing? Been there.

@douglasdolly I remember wondering what sobriety was like. Slowly it came back to me and it was better than I remembered, better than I expected. 19 days...a VERY long time to be without a fix. If you turn back now you will have lived those days of hell for nothing, and next time you want to quit you'll remember these days and you will be too scared to do quit again. Stick with it. Just wait for the first time you smile...It'l like God touched you and you know you've won.

@GoodBadUglyest Well, im on day 19 and i am really starting to feel better. All i really have now is insomnia, cold sensitivity, a lot of sneezing. The past week i felt depression like i never have before. I have to say that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

@GoodBadUglyest I have been on Buprenorphine for about a year and a half. Today is day 13 of coming off buprenorphine. and my muscles feel like they are completely deteriorated, and my eyes wont stop watering and cant quit sneezing,, these were the least of the withdrawels i went thruogh of course. Xanax would be nice. Cold sweats at night are gnarly as hell and ive had to get on the roof everyday through all this shit.

@douglasdolly Fuck Suboxone. Get Xanax. You will be able to eat, you will be able to sleep. I used it after work and before bed. I've been through it and it is nothing short of Hell. I did not get addicted to it, I think because I was just so damn sick and tired of taking pills all the time. I did at one point move up to Opium...but the Xanax is really a lifesaver. Let me know how you do, you are almost over it. PM me if you want.

Coming off heroin, it would usually be about five nights of flailing around, punching the headboard, and trying not to kill myself. Even though the withdrawals are not totally over by that point, my body just kind of collapses. Start getting 1-2 hours sleep at a time. The restless feeling slowly starts to get better.
Cold turkey from methadone, it's 30-60 days until I can hold still for more than 10 seconds. Methadone is a life saver, but god help you if your insurance lapses...
