The Canadian folk singer Taylor Mitchell was a rising star in the folk music scene with a unique soulful sound and a maturity in singing and songwriting way beyond her years. Having just released her debut album 'For Your Consideration' Taylor Mitchell was nominated for Young Performer of the Year by the Canadian Folk Music Awards in 2009.

Perhaps I can have a word with Maureen and Steve who made the video to see if we can get better definition, but we're very lucky to have this, it turning out to be her very last performance.

I just saw a documentry on TV, I never really feel pain for death, even my own family, and my best friend. However for some reason when I saw it, it really pained me. Such a horrible thing that such a gift be cut out of this world. I do not know her, however I will remember her. I have been around Coyotes all my life, even run into a den by accident, something like this needs to be known. The harmless are not harmless... Best wishes to your family Taylor Mitchell..
