In fact, I just learned that it *was* used when I was a baby (1978), and there are a few reels existing from that time! Fun!

Too bad you didn't sell it on ebay, because you could make a little money off of it!! Nice review though. I am a 16mm film collector and have a couple 8mm projectors and looking for more!

It funny how many few people know what this stuff is/ does. This set up that you have is supposed to come with a tape recorder, the "microhpone" ports that you have on the side are suppose to hook up to a tape recorder and microphone. After you developed your film, you are supposed to play back the sound from the tape recorder, if you look at your projector- on the right side, next to the lens it has 2 more "microhone" jacks so you can hook it up to the tape player to keep it in sync.
