@GayPersians Realize this my friend, we're not living alone in this world, so as the part of the society we have to follow the rule of the society we're in, if you couldn't stand it, just leave the society (as these men did). Imagine if there is no single order or law that controlling the society. There's NOBODY, I mean NOBODY, will be really able to act as they wish. If you say that there should be no law, we could get murdered when we're walking in the street by the criminals

@shmuli9 it has nothing to do with moral superiority.. it has everything to do with the question, if there is objective morality, then there is an inate right to hold humanity to it.. if there isnt then it all falls away.

@BigG99 It definitely isn't (as an absolute) acceptable to evolution at all, in which procreating better versions of a species is paramount... but it also seems not to have been bred out, and as humans have been around for at least 100,000 years (probably more 1 million years), nor in most other species, I'm really not sure... I'm sure it ISN'T acceptable to some religions (people seem to have an innate need to feel morally superior to someone else), but that doesn't make such prejudice RIGHT.

@sahajad Nor in either of mine (Canada and the US)... though in the US there are many states in which gay marriage isn't legal (yet)... There are people who don't LIKE gay people, or francophones (I had a boss like that), or people of different ethnic backgrounds, but unless you run into such people in a dark alley at night, there generally isn't a problem, and violence CERTAINLY isn't offcially condoned.
We Gay Persians come from a rich heritage in Iran. Before Islam invaded Iran, gay people were respected in the community. And in the days of the Shah, there were gay bars in Iran and gays could live their lives with respect and decency.
Hopefully one day Iran will be Secular again, and both Women & Gays will be respected once more.
Thank you for posting this wonderful program, let us hope it teaches everyone about the importance of tolerance and how NOBODY has the right to dictate how we live!
