Mustang 4.6 Vs Mustang 5.0

My buddy sold his m3 (from other vids check em out) and bought a 2000 mustang gt with 74k miles, Flowmaster catback, K&N cold air intake for 6200, What do you guys think?

Love how the 225hp 5.0 keeps up with the 260hp 4.6 , the 5.0 superior lowend grunt always take the start but the 4.6 has more topend power , i dont hate the 2v 4.6s but if u ask me the 5.0 is just a better all around engine, simpler to work on, smaller size and dat torque, now a 4v 4.6 is a different monster.

@cubano1389 Weight is a big factor here, stock for stock the pi motor is better But depends how much you wanna spend i cant wait to get my 4v going Thats the best bet really.

@xtreme3484 True, a fox is lighter, but not by much when they are stock, specially hatchbacks, the hatchs is one heavy piece. But i pulled on my friends 99 with my 94 5.0 without any problem at all, we both have basically the same mods, hes is automatic and maybe thats why i pulled on him so bad.

@cubano1389 Uh well my fox weighed a good 200 pounds less then that pretty much full option 00 gt. So id whats alot to you but thats alot man

I want to get either a 95 cobra or a 96-98 cobra. The 95's are special because they have that 5.0 in it, and that would be cool to have. But the 96+ Cobras have that 4v DOHC 4.6, which is more technologically advanced and has more HP. I don't know which one to get, can yall help me out?

@punchmaster123 get the dohc thats what engin i swapped in my 98. Well worth the money good power at decent cost. The 94-95 cobras are nice too but a little under rated. stay away from gts.

@TeamNCR2012 ...i have driven an 97 gt with 3.73's and catback with c.a.i.....i have a 93 5.0 with full exhaust c.a.i. and stock 3.08's....it pulls harder than the 97...just saying, i have also race a 04 gt with a catback and i pulled away....just saying....your talking a little bullshit

nice race but the 5.0 suck my 98 gt all stock just have 373 gear and i kill them all the time. even the ones that have shit in them.lol but hell i dont even no what even in this car cuz i did not know it had 373 gears till now.lol race any 5.0 out in fresno whats up.

@punchmaster123 Well the 5.0s in 94-95 cobras are basically the same as a normal 5.0 but they came with gt40 cobra intake and gt40 heads along with 1.7 roller rockers and basically the same cam as a 5.0 GT, u can pretty much make a normal 5.0 a cobra 5.0 with just getting the gt40 heads off an explorer and an aftermarket cam with a better intake and u got a good little motor, ppl make around 260 to 295 rwhp with only those mods, and swaping heads in 5.0 is easy.
