  • All of you who are bashing Adler, you have no clue how much he has been through (not saying that Im any kind of expert or anything) but look at his career. He had the biggest position in rock at the time taken away from him. I am amazed that he can still play like this today. Thanks so much for putting this up. After watching him slide down such a slippery slope and cheat death so many times, to be able to watch someone still have the ability to do their craft is truly inspiring.

  • On top of it all he's playing along with a track with no ear phones on! There is no possible way that has no hearing damage from being a drummer and professional rocker all those years G&R was one of the hardest rocking bands of all time. It's a motherfucker to play along with songs with no phones. When you lose hearing the song for just a little bit it fucks you in the ass. You fuck head haters he's not a youtube song coverer he's Steven Fucking Adler drummer of the best rock CD of all time!

  • hehe hes got a great big smile on his face through the whole video ;)

  • Happy Birthday Steven!

  • @gabe4u22 I saw GNR live in 1988 at the spectrum second night opening for aerosmith, Slash was drunk as shit, Axl kept stopping in the middle of songs to bitch about the assholes in the front row trying to rush the stage, Steve was improvising along with Duff and Izzy while slash stumbled around barely playing and Axl stopping to jump into the audience to get his cowboy hat back, it was your typical GNR live show from 1988. If I'm lyin I'm dyin.

  • This guy is a rock legend!

  • I've always been a big fan of Steve. Compared to a lot of hard rock drummers he was a great artist. He didn't make stuff fancy if the song didn't need to be, but he was creative at the right places. Anyone else would have ruined Paradise City, he made it on of the most recognisable songs just by the drumbeat itself. I'm hoping he gets his due along with Izzy at the R&RHOF in April.

  • @TrevinSmith Im not sure Id say he had it 'taken away' from him. He threw it away. He made the choice to hammer his body with drugs, and he lost it. I was 16 when GNR broke into the mainstream, and I understand the times when they were popular. Drug use was unavoidable. But to say he had it 'taken away', isnt quite right. I will agree with you in saying this, its amazing the guy is still able to form a complete sentence, much less play a nearly 7 minute song by ear.

  • Im surprised he made it through the full song.

  • awesome good to hear him still play. fuckin guy has been to hell n back

  • @pokerdogZ he has a song on slashs album. You should also read his book, he is better then 99 percent of drummers out there.
