MJS Performance Shorty Exhaust on R1

MJS Performance Shorty Exhaust on a 2008 Yamaha R1. It is 3 inches shorter than the standard exhaust pipe. It has straight through baffles and I have shortened and fiberglassed the heat shields to work on the new short cans. The cat has also been gutted.

@metrorhys10 When you turn 16 at the very MAX get a 600. Honestly though if I were in your shoes I would get either a Kawasaki 650 or a ninja 250. start small and work your way up. if you go for a Liter bike from the get go you will likely be dead within a few months. I have buried far too many friends at far too young an age. Start small and work up.

i know what stock chain looks like sorry but it is not stock chain.

@bilalsolmaz555 HAHA, fine I guess you know more about my bike then I do. Trust me it is stock, if I had switched it out I would have used a DID ERV3 because it is what i used on my race bike and it held up great. This isn't my race bike so I figured the stocker would be fine. But believe what you will.

@bilalsolmaz555 Its just the stock factory 530 chain that came on it. Rear sprocket is stock front is -2 teeth for a little more oomph out of the hole.

@metrorhys10 are you f*cking kidding me you are 11 ... buy a 50cc to get the feeling of the bike ... when you are 16 buy 125 for example yzf125 or rs125 , and than upgrade to 600 or 750 . And if you end up 20 yrs old and never ridden a bike before get kawasaki 250 .. do be an idiot and kill yourself

the chain looks weird because it's clean and it's big (530). We don't see to many sparkly clean chains on here....

Which exhaust is this? Any links? I checked mjs and I couldn't find anything with "shorty" in their product descriptions. Also, have any forum links for the head light mods you have? Appreciate it

nice! i just copied your led's on my 06 r1. thanks for the diy in the description! looks awesome. i just wired them to be running lights and left the corner bulbs to be turn signals. too bad, no more decent riding for awhile up here in seattle. :(
