Ive tried them all on my CRX 1.5 dual carb and my current B18c EG Civic and the one that i and my friends have felt an improvement in power, is the 'REDEX 0-60' its a fuel cleaner and an octane BOOST. Mixed with shell V-power or BP Ultimate it takes from 20min to 40min of city driving before it filters through the system. I've used it once every 3 months for 4 years and ALWAYS felt a power increase. You can get it in Halfords £9.99 Make sure it says 'REDEX 0-60' on the bottle. Petrol & diesel.

Just watched this, no surprise, but there is a product out there that does what it says on the can
BG44K and BG244 not only reduces carbon but improves mph.

I kept telling people these products were a waste of money but they wouldn't listen, they are proven to clean fuel injectors sure, but I can't believe any increase in power would be attainable, now you have just proved it. Thankyou

Bloody hell - a K series that ran for an hour without getting hgf!

crotz...

The point of this video is that you can't just buy cheap power for an engine that wasn't meant for it. How many kids waste hundreds of dollars on these products thinking they'll turn their civics into racing cars? To make matters worse, you can just buy premium fuel at the pump that has a higher net benefit than these products, even for HP engines.

Yeah using civic type r with its normally asprirated engine is a reliable test for higher octane number...NOT!

wow!!!!

@tontonpacute Heat efficiency. It improves heat efficiency of the engine...it's a good thing but the manufacturer's also have to deal with spark-knock conditions at that high of compression. Not that easy ;).
-
they should test a turbocharged engine. in some cases higher octan raise the power to up to 10-20 hp
High octane fuels need higher compression ratios to get more power out of them or else in an engine tunes to work on normal unleaded it'll be less powerful.
This is why although ethanol has a much higher octane rating than normal unleaded, it'll gives less power and fuel economy in E80 cars. To squeeze the full power out of an high octane fuel like ethanol, you'll need to increase compression ratios of the engine to almost diesel levels.

Then how come in dyno testing, people always use higher octane fuel and get better results rather than using lower octane fuel. In our country, there is 93 octane fuel and 98 octane fuel. Dyno tests using the 98 octane fuel consistently make higher HP than using 93 octane.
