BIKE CRASH AT MALLORY PARK

A crash at Mallory Park put fluid down on the racing line at Edwina's chicane and the marshals just leave the fluid down and when the leaders arrive on the following lap the inevitable happened. Should have been red flagged and cleaned up as it was red flagged the following lap after a nasty looking high side by an unfortunate rider

@neochase1 Yeh we thought they were going to stop the race 1 marshal was telling them to stop it cos the fluid was right on the racing line. It was inevitable that someone was going to crash on the following lap. We felt really sorry for the lad that went down.

Probably should have been a red flag, dunno how you expect the marshals to dress oil in the minimal time between first and second lap..... Maybe you should get out on a live track and do it yourself.

as a marshal of cars and bikes and having done mallory i feel i may answer this for you. it appears the marshal is holding a flag, more then likely the change of surface flag (oil). it is easy to see some fluids on track but not always how much and has been said there is no time at mallory to get out there, if the post sees fluid and is bad enough to stop a race they will ring race control and ask for a stop, its up to them, this is done quick but may mean one more lap, everything there was ok
