Poor tortoise. This will probably teach him NOT to forage for food. Yea..."entice a TURTLE to exercise." First of all, its not a turtle, its a TORTOISE. Shows how much you DON'T know. Secondly, tortoises get exercise from natural foraging, not by this sick little trick you thought would be funny. I'm surprised you haven't been reported yet.

WOW, seem like torture. This is what normal people do to exercise their turtle and make it forage. You put food in different corners of the yard. The hunt for it and get the reward and learn to move. Basic Classical conditioning that is used with animals.

It is a land mammal the scientific name would be African Sulcata you are right about it being a male it is 4 years old,will grow to about twice that size and live to be over 100.Ken
