Our Choice

4 years into the war in Iraq over 3,200 U.S. troops have been killed, hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians have been killed, and billions of tax payers' dollars have been spent. After 4 years of war and 6 years of lies, the American people must make a choice and take a stand. Are you ready to end this war? Then get out there and say something!

How is your negativity helping? Ava's videos have been and continue to be effective in enlightening many apathetic and/or uninformed individuals worldwide. Ava has marched with hundreds of thousands of us in a number of protests. Just a thought, have you considered anger management classes as a means to channel the resentment you feel into positive action?

Bush is GLARINGLY deceitful, puerile, arrogant, stubborn, and wrong. Add to that the too common perception that his mannerisms and appearance are off-putting, and you have a world leader virtually no one likes. This reality is extraordinarily sad. Bush will contend with the consequences of his own hubris, but--if we activists are successful in our efforts--the United States will not be permanently diminished by this sad little man.

Ava is certainly very active, especially since she organises in Alabama where the anti-war movement is still small.

As for teen activism, I should note that here in England, under-18s were not only the most anti-war age category, but they organised the only strike against the Iraq War - a walk-out from schools in 2003, for which organisers were suspended and punished. No adults have done what they did!

Okay, if it's true that Ava does more than make slide shows in Imovie then I apologize. But, teens are as worthy of obscenities as anyone, and second the larger point remains that youth today take a passive, apathetic approach to the war.

Good on you for protesting the war, but take a moment to check your facts before firing off obscenities at a teenager. The Internet already has enough abuse, it doesn't need any more.

It's terrible. We can't trust our own government to end this war by itself. We'll have to do things like this to eventually, by force of the great public majority, persuade them ourselves. Keep making these videos, you're getting recognition already.
