  • Hello, "Your form of archery and winning forms in international competition are completely different"

I totally agree. All the best,

    Neal

  • I've known Fred Asbell for over 35 years and I have never seen him shoot in a tournament anytime..anywhere...

  • @raginroadrunner Hello, I didn't say he had.I credit him as I am a great fan of his work. His books and articles have been hugely influential on me as an archer. I wrote about tournament shooting firstly as a a bit of a swipe at it and secondly because it is the main form of archery in the UK. Mr Asbell does talk about using his techniques in competition I hope that you enjoyed the film.

  • Hello and thanks for your comment. I think I had been shooting for a few years before I bought that bow. 40 pounds is quite strong for a beginner but is a very reasonable weight for a man to shoot. I'm sure you will find it a more comfortable/ a bit light quite quickly wish you all the best in developing as an archer.

  • @ivanexocet I think you have a diffferent understanding of what instinctive archery is. In my experience and opinion what you are describing is a misunderstanding of insitinctive archery. Maybe you could upload a video of yourself shooting and we could allow people to compare?

  • I like !!

  • worst music ever!

  • good stuff

  • @spearthrowin ...I did not view much of the film as I have been an Olympic Recurve archery instructor for over 30 years. Your form of archery and winning forms in international competition are completely different. Being off the point of aim at 90 meters by 1/16th of an inch translates in to 57" off the target..something that Fred probably has never considered.

  • Great video. 60# on that recurve must have taken a lot of practice. I recently got into archery and purchased the Ragim Matrix at 40# which as a beginner seems very heavy already.

  • NO , es tiro instintivo o natural...esta persona demora en apuntar , lo cual deja de ser instintivo !!!
