"Cigarette Lit" was from the Some Devil sessions. And no...this is not the main riff.

how can i get this song so i dont have to go to youtube everytime?

he wrote this song in the early 1990s, during the trax/floodzone years, which is where this recording comes from. he may have also recorded it for the Lillywhite sessions as well, but it was written before UTTAD.

Sorry, Some Devil is what I was told too, must've been drunk! But I'm sure the riff is the same.

Not only is the outro the same progression as the chorus from Hold Me Down, it also has the chorus of Little Thing/An Another Thing (which was a part of the original and rare version of Raven, and the bridge of Dreams Of Our Fathers).
So then the inclusion of An Another Thing/Little Thing on Some Devil could have also been a reason why Cigarette Lit was left off the album.

u guys r correct! Cigarette Lit was cut from the Some Devil album, and YES, the end of Cigarette Lit is the same riff from Hold Me Down... gotta love he pulls this song out after Timmy breaks a string!! ... just never know!

Thanks for this. This is awesome. I love how he has these rare songs that are hard to find but when you find them, you love them.
wasn't the main riff from this used as a bridge in "Cigarette Lit" from the Lillywhite sessions?

I was told that Cigarette Lit was from the Some Devil sessions, but Dave definitely used one section of Hold Me Down. I've only heard Cigarette Lit a couple of times, I was thinking it was toward the end of the song but it has been a while

Cigarette Lit was from Some Devil, Dave eventually cut it off because he said he felt it overpowered the rest of the album. Great song tho, I have also heard the riff is from Hold Me Down, but I'm not musician so I really don't know.
