the attacks on education are huge and are putting into question whether large numbers of youth are going to even have access to education. combine that with dropping minority admission and the recent disgusting white supremacist intimidation of minority and queer students. this was a powerful rebuttal, and whoever took this video needs to wake up and take a good look at the world they're graduating into.

Asian American students like myself used to be the minority in American Universities like UCSD as late as the 1980s. What did we do about it as a minority group? Do you know what got out butts into seats at prestigious Universities like this one? It wasn't by protesting. It was by studying and working hard. Sure, there will be always racism, but if you look at the numbers, it isn't your skin color that is hindering you from your admission--it is your work ethic.

Now to address the racism. Sure, there will always be racism--even towards us asians. Do you think it will ever go away? How do you propose changing our current laws? Affirmative action? How will you explain to a rejected student who got high grades in High School that his seat was taken by another student who had lower grades--just because he was not a minority. Now that is racism in my book.
