@52blocksinfo Hating or telling the truth? The rappers that you mentioned have been making records and rapping professionally for 15 years and longer. LL's first album came out in 1985, that was 25 years ago. Jay Z has been rapping since the late 80's. He started out rapping with Jaz. aka Jaz-O. Nas's first album came out in 1994, 15 years ago. They all entered the game as teenagers. They are very lucky to have long term success because 95% of rappers don't make it past 3 albums.

@Leroshaft anybody with a little bit of money can make a music video nowadays. Making a video means nothing if your product is not being pushed by radio stations, tv shows (mtv, etc), and record stores. Nobody in the streets is mentioning Lyte Burley. Lyte has not blown up. He is just another starving artist in the belly of the beast trying to make at his old age. Lyte is over 40 years old. Rap is a young mans game. Kids don't want to see an old man trying to rap.
