Canadian goose heading south for the winter
Crumbs on the windowsill, still green eyes look for greener
Never stays too long, it'll be pretty soon, I imagine
She'll slip over the horizon. Me, into hibernation
Here comes that cold and she's gone again, fly!
Spread those wings. Overhead, not off my mind
Her brain's a birdcage she locks herself inside
Drifts for the back of the V and finds a place to hide her cry
If she could, she'd gather clouds around
Like so many blankets, and never come back out
I will give you my honey, crumbs, and share my plate
Canadian goose, won't you bear the cold days?
Cool song, man.
