Allan Staker, transformation team director for Hawaiian Airlines, explains the features of the on-board, on-demand entertainment system found on the new Airbus A330-200s joining the fleet.

Passengers flying in coach class on Hawaiian's A330 will enjoy the comforts of the new aircraft, including more legroom and a state-of-the-art on-demand entertainment system. High-resolution LCD touch screen monitors in each seatback allow each passenger to choose from a wide selection of movies and video programs, audio channels and video games. Each system also includes a USB port allowing connectivity for personal media players. First Class passengers on Hawaiian's new A330 aircraft will enjoy the added advantages of larger in-seat LCD screens and iPOD compatibility.

  • Hawaiian airlines is rip off, for one way my ticket was $650

  • @UFA907 sorry you feel that way. How much was that same one-way ticket on a competing carrier? I'm often surprised how much those cost vs. a round trip on most airlines.

  • awesome i was on quantas last omg never had these i have been to hawaii 10 hours from australia to us.

  • @airplanegod when u fly most of uniteds planes they come with free ife tht is surprisingly good-especially for an american carrier (and im an american)

  • @brynedney Good Lord! How long will that flight be? I've never been to Hawaii, but the prospect of that long a flight is enough to send me to the Jersey shore.

  • @angurisloud Well I will be flying American this summer from Hawaii to the mainland, and the 767 should be good for me as I bring my own entertainment.

  • @magellanmax Thank deregulation for that...

  • i never knew you can play games with other passenger

    that cool and awesome

  • I fly on Hawaiian throughout Hawaii and to and from the Mainland all the time for business. The best planes with the best customer service as far as I'm concerned! I've taken this Airbus A330 aircraft and the landing is so smooth that I don't feel the jet hit the ground at the airport at all. I live in Hawaii and am from the East Coast so I'm psyched that Hawaiian Air now has non-stop service to JFK from HNL, starting in June! That's What's Up!

  • I just flew from DFW to Hi on American. I fly a lot on American, as they're HQ'ed out of Dallas. The plane was crap, old and w/o wi-fi w/o power ports to most of the seats (767 had them to about 30% of the seats) , or individual screens. SEVEN HOURS with a crummy old TV 5 rows ahead of me (our even had a green dot burned right in the middle of the image!). I'll gladly pay to have the features and will be looking NOT to fly on American on our next trip. I don't need the miles that bad!

  • one way ticket 254.00 on hawaiian take off from san jose, lax is way more

  • Airlines keep coming up with ways to rip off passengers.
