I got my first Nintendo back before Atari died.
Played it 'till my thumbs turned red. Did the same until I turned nine.

My older brother was a pro at Top Gear and Mario Kart.
Then he quit and sided with Sega. Should have known games would drive us apart.

And when we look back now, we both see how stupid we were.
But when we had the choice, we'd rather have both than neither.
We played the best games of our lives.

32 and 64 bits later, my brother quit before the PS2.
Said that he just outgrew gaming, and that's when I got the 'Cube.

Sitting in the living room, abusing my parents' big-screen.
Controller in my hand, living out a Jolt-induced dream,
I played the best games of my life.

Back in the summer of 95.

Coming back from a part-time job when you're tired and restless, and need to unwind.
You just wish it could last forever. Forever!

And now with the consoles changing, newer gamers are all choosing sides.
But when I recall my first war, I know better than to feed the lies.

Sitting in the living room, every system is primed and ready.
Controller in my hands, my every move poised and steady,
These are the best days of my life.

So yeah, this just sort of... happened one day. A parody of "Summer of 69", and a bad one at that, written with a friend for a project. And "CW3" is short for "Console War 3". Think about it!

Nice system lineup! 2 questions: 1) Is that you singing (Okay, I know it isn't, thought I'd check anyway). 2) How old are you? I'd think you were 14-18 (estimating) by looking at you, but your wife's been in some of your videos. Just curious! :-P

Actually that is me singing. I couldn't find a karaoke track, so I made my own with a drum kit, my bass and guitar, and a microphone.

Man, this is the best thing i've heard on youtube in regards to gaming. You really put your heart and soul into these lyrics. I was wondering if that was really you singing, and since it was, man i just had to favorite this video.

i'm a bit angry though that this video hasn't gotten many views or "likes". You really should have more attention, even though you say you don't wanna "whore" yourself out, i really think you've earned it man. my honest fucking opinion.

Fantastic parody, very well thought out. It definitely brings me back to my younger days.
