  • This song is so beautiful! It makes me cry every time I hear it. I think Clay sings it the best.

  • Hey, I'm an atheist and I like this song! Who knew I'd like Clay's voice, but I have to admit the man can hold a note.

  • He has a beautiful voice and could listen to him sing this all day.

  • Clay Aiken's voice is so powerful and makes you forget all your problems. He is simply amazing. I don't think there's any other performer who can handle the ranges that Clay can and still look like he's walking in the park... so natural and relaxed.

Did your mama know you would turn out to be the gem you are Clay?

  • Truly moving and beautiful. I hadn't heard this until Clay sang it, and I am so thankful. It's become my top 1-2 Christmas Song's. And the song it not only applicable to the Holidays. You can enjoy it all year. His voice is perfect on this song! TY for posting this!

  • This absolutely beautiful song is my favorite Christmas song. I play it all the time and nobody sings it like Clay. It so touches my heart every time I hear it. Thank you Mark and Buddy for such a beauty. Clay, may you serve the God you are singing about.

  • Clay is good

another amazing singer with a very pure and poverful voice is Fady Maalouf

  • I do too! He's got the best interpretation/rendition.

  • I don't believe Mr. Aiken changed the lyrics on purpose. I've seen him perform this song in concert and it is just as haunting live as it is on his CD, but he occasionally mixes up the lyrics. Doesn't change the power behind the words in my opinion. I thank Mark Lowry for creating this jewel. He is very talented and I'm not surprised his audience prefers his rendition, but for pure vocal skill and interpretation, Clay Aiken is unmatched. Both men praise God openly, so it's all good.
