Quick Chek Sub Showdown!

Quick Chek, the premier chain of more than 125 food store locations throughout New Jersey and Southern New York, crowns Alan Kahn of Old Bridge, N.J., as the company's first-ever Quick Chek Sub Showdown Champion!

Following a three-month-long submission process calling for entrants to build-their-own sub sandwich recipes at ilovemysub.com, Kahn, along with three other finalists, was chosen to compete in Quick Chek's Sub Showdown Saturday, Oct. 16 at its newest Bayonne, N.J., store. Each contestant prepared and presented their signature sub to a panel of four judges.

Kahn received a grand prize of $1,500 in Quick Chek gift cards, and his "Big Bad Bacon Chicken" sub recipe will also have a chance to be added to the chain's wide menu of sub varieties and sold across their entire operating region.

Runners-up Michael Caballero, Joe Cristiano and Katy Ells each won a $125 Quick Chek gift card.
