@syl56graumann Yes tell your kid to keep cradeling like that. You remind me of one of those coaches who coached basketball, and think that he can coach lacrosse because, "the similarities." Quick tip coach. This is not how you cradle and it makes me angry that so many people have kids that play who did this drill and cradle down the feild like a spastic and gets checked to the crowd. This cradeling is completely ridiculous and false.

wtf

This is not right. You may get used to the feel of the ball through this, but a new player needs to understand that cradling is more about the wrist. You dont need that huge cradle motion. Lots of wasted energy running down the field with a power cradle. With a subtle wrist motion, you can keep the ball in the stick just as easily while keeping it in tight, protecting it from checks.

@geezy7 that why mostly women lax players use it
Ah, you guys are tough. Yes, this player just started Lax and was a robot, now he's a piston. If you coach first years (3/4,5/6), try using this drill at first. It's a fast way to get kids running down the field with the stick protected across their chest and not dropping for D to check. I think it's because they quicky get the feel of the ball slammed to the back of the net and good bottom hand position. When the ball passes over their head laying down & doen't hit their nose, they got it...
