9 minute demo video of the splawn nitro and 4X12.

Carvin C66 w/dimarzio evo's into an eden analog austin overdrive into the amp.

KT88 power tubes, various russian and chinese preamp tubes, mullard NOS 12AX7 in V2 though.

2 earcandy green machines, a celestion V30 and G12H30 in the cab.

TC nova system in the FX loop providing reverb, chorus (clean channel section) and delay.

*Forgive the quality* It's tough compressing a 700meg video file down to youtube friendly bandwidth and retain the fidelity :(

You get the idea though...

  • how do you compare the nitro with ccv by mark cameron?

  • @bailey12444 I've never seen a CCV in person. Way too rare but now that Jerry is helping Mark get them built, hopefully I'll come across one. From what Eric (Erock) has told me, they're voiced very similar.

  • good stuff, nice amps . have you ever tried a hughes and kettner switchblade?

  • yeah they're ok.. nowhere near the tone of the triamps though. but I guess nowhere near the price tag though either!

  • I love your phrasing, touch and tone. Is all of this improvised?

  • yeah all of my videos are improvisation.

  • hi quality;) but the sound is ok. Nice playin bro!

  • I like 6:22-6:28 pretty sick.

  • What bands are you in. Do you gig? Yeh the Switchblade for the money is pretty good. If I had the money for a triamp I would probably just get a SLO-100 instead.

  • Cool Drew. That's what I like about your reviews... honest and I have never seen you 'bash' one thing after getting something different... very cool. From what I can tell from your clips the description sounds right. I hear a definate more percussiveness out of the bb clips and a more 'chewy' and woodier tone with the splawn. Thanks again Drew!
