Republican Whip Eric Cantor Delivers Weekly Republican Address

House Republican Whip Eric Cantor (R-VA) today delivered the weekly Republican address and spoke about the job killing taxes, reckless deficits, and massive debt caused by the Obama/Pelosi/Reid agenda. Cantor noted that President Obama plans on imposing the largest tax increase in history at the end of the year and warned that the policies being pursued in Washington are causing an unsustainable debt. He also stressed that unless a change is made, we risk leaving our children a country worse off than we found it.

Could someone speak about oil and why we are so dependent on it? You could save a lot of money in our homes. Have we not come any farther from the Industrial Revolution? If you look closely we can make hydrogen engines that run 5 gallons of water getting 5 times the mpg. Why are both parties getting their pockets lined from oil money? No wonder we are not finding ways to limit our dependence to oil? Please stop the finger pointing and do something about the present before the future is gone.

Not sure how the he figures Obama is "spinning" the end of year tax increase as an expiration of Bush era tax cuts. The increase LITERALLY comes from an expiration of tax cuts, and the expiration date was ACTUALLY written into the cuts, which were passed by a REPUBLICAN majority congress and signed into law by GEORGE W. BUSH. These are all facts, Eric Cantor, no spinning involved.

They love the idea of "free stuff" that's paid for by taxing the rich & middle class. Some of them define rich as $250,000 a year or more. Then, when the number of rich people dwindle, they'll lower the bar to $200,000, $150,000, and so on....

Mr Cantor, I just got my taxes taxes back and my taxes went down so i don't see that this promise has bee broken. What exactly were the 25 tax increases for? Were they necessary? Do me a favor and list those. Maybe also what was the majority of the 1.5 Trillion dollars spent on?
