Eleven stories for the body, distance to our soul finds its source in words, text and poetry from eleven stories about the body, written specially for this production by eleven writers and poets. These texts inspire, dictate, and drive the direction of the movement and represent different perspectives of humanity, elements that make us who and what we are. Eleven stories for the body is a physical translation of these eleven impressions/expressions about the body. When we read a book we physicalise the characters and settings, in Eleven stories Filip has done this for us, however his intent is not for us to literally view the stories, but to play with our interpretations, juxtapose the images, sounds and movements, and manipulate our expectations.
