  • i never understood the whole crazy eye scenes with the flooded offices with the sun, its on the directors cut wtf does it mean?

  • @PsychoBisket basically the eye scenes are him seeing into the future.also the flooded offices was him seeing into the future, showing he would flood the school.

but the movie is pretty much up for interpretation.

  • THIS ISN"T IN THE MOVIE!!! cool! thanks for the bonus!

  • it's featured in The Director's Cut Edition.go check that out : )

helps you understand things a lot better.

  • A storm is coming, Frank says.

A storm that will swallow the children.

And I will deliver them from the kingdom of pain.

I'll deliver the children back to their doorsteps. I'll send the monsters back to the underground.

I'll send them back to a place where no one else can see them.

    Except for me.

    'Cuz I am Donnie Darko.

  • just wanted you to know, thank you for this video. i love this scene.

  • peter griffin loves when they say the name of the movies in the movies!

  • I love this scene, but this clip missed my favorite part, which follows Donnie's reading.

    Ms. Pomeroy: Who's Frank?

    Donnie: A six-foot-tall bunny rabbit.

    Students: [assorted laughter]

  • This scene is very Catcher in the Rye.

  • donnie darko is such a badass!

  • @MNAProductions Sounds like it ruins the movie. Is it actually in the movie or at the end? Like in the directors cut?

  • @PsychoBisket in the directors cut, excerpts from the book, "philosophy of time travel" say that the living recipient has the power to conjure fire and water. i think the flood was in reference to that.

  • This movie does have some striking Catcher in the Rye parallels.
