  • Your right. Wood is biomass too though.

  • All charcoal is made via pyrolysis. Biochar is made from biomass instead of wood like normal charcoal.

  • As I understand it, biochar is made through pyrolysis, while tradional charcoal is formed by geological means, which takes thousands to millions of years.
