@Maxlonghorn09 It's ALWAYS scary until you finally get into the firefight- there are effects afterwards as well such as numbness of emotions due to the combat itself. You have to experience it to really know, I hated artillery the most!

not really, back then the coalition and the US had overwhelming support in the Shiite sectors of Iraq and the war spawned multiple rebellions in the south.
unfortunately the US refusal to actively support the uprisings leading to thousands of deaths by saddam is a pretty big reason why Shiite groups like the Medhi militia hate the US today
