Cigar Talk is a new Australian series chatting with people who love cigars.

On our first episode, Jason from Perdomo Cigars, Filip from Paladar Fumior Salon, with guests Nick and Chrissy, chat about how they originally got into cigars, and cover some basics, such as length, ring gauge, why to invest in a humidor, and why women shouldn't be afraid to smoke cigars.

  • hi , the size of the cigar was 7.5 inches long by 38 ring guage and this size was only made in cuba for the cohiba line ...)) and people have been smoking this kind lancero cigars for an long time ...)) now if you look around you on the cigar market you will see that by almost all the popular cigars that has been made in honduras , nicaragua , dom rep. they are introduce the same lancero size in their cigar brands too , but the origin is from cuba ...)))

  • Hi OPUSX1500! That's good to know. You must know your cigars very well if you can identify one from an old picture without its band! It was such a great cigar, and I probably would've never explored cigars further had my first been a nasty cigar. Thanks for the insight! :-)

  • everything that has love .. passion .. history ... tradition .. are things that are very intresthing things , when you start studie it you will discover more and more ... and it will be more intresthing for you and you will spend all your time into it to know about it because it inspired you ,, it is intresthing ..... and so is the story behind cigars too .... it is an old tradition for generations .... that will be always intrested by all cigarsmokers .....

  • cigars is an special thing , like other enjoyble things , like an glass nice rum , or martini , or wine , or an glass of bourbon , when you are off for an long day working and sit back relax with an glass of nice bourbon or whatever with an nice cigar ... it gives you an very special feeling .. that simply not be can replaced by other things like exercise , or go to the disco , or go for shopping ... absoluutly not ...

  • hallo lady , the cigar you have been smoking for the first time as you said it was an cuban cigar , and it was realy an cuban because i can recognize it on the foto on the video ... the name is cohiba lancero .... it is an very tasty cigar .... my first one was an cohiba esplendido and i was 25 years old , now i am 38 years and i smoke cigars almost like everyday , specialy in my free time i smoke like 4-5 cigars a day , and i enjoy it very much ....

    ive only done it a few times too, but that's the one i reallllly enjoyed i ended up trying a couple more times.

  • @twistedenjoyment I am fairly new to smoking myself but i find montecristo to be an AMAZING cigar. Their platinum 1999 is my personal favorite.
