I am reading the book Pipe dreams by kelly slater. Its a biography about him and he said he hated doing this and he thought it was super cheesy

There were pictures of him in Sports Illustrated many, many years ago. He was amazing back then. I know nothing about surfing but it seems like his feet were so fast.Oh yeah, he was one cute dude back then, but I respect him as an athlete. It's not easy being the greatest in the world. Baywatch was a terrible show, but people got to know him.

@azianbarbi yeah, kelly is cool, he´s not arrogant or cocky in the least, and I know he was an excellent student as well, very intelligent guy, as well..

@extradutyfelt1..i didn't really pay much attention to that kind of detail..lol..he did date, yet was kind of shy and kept to himself..he concentrated more on his surfing career..it's been such a long time..we were kids..like 15 back then, i'm sure he's changed a lot over the years..the interviews i've seen him in he does seem still very down to earth, yet private..as you won't see anything negative about him in the tabloids..he has a lovely steady girlfriend whom he's been with for awhile now.

@azianbarbi cool, I have been to cocoa beach a couple of times, surfed there as well..was kelly a wanted guy, by the girls in school?:)

@extradutyfelt1...lol..yeah we went to HS together..he was kind of quiet, more to himself yet a nice guy..Cocoa Beach is a small town and our HS had less than 500 students so everyone knew each other..i dated mostly surfers so the majority of us ran in the same crowd.
