Amateur rendition of "Perhaps Love," inspired by duet between John Denver, the author of the song and words, and Placido Domingo (e.g., at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YnfCH7LNcM). I believe that I sing this song 3 semitones higher than the duet version, and 2 semitones higher than Denver's solo versions as well as my earlier versions on this channel.
This is my self-duet version of the song here on this YouTube channel (also see the solo version, placed on this channel on the same date as this), in which I try to sing both sides of the duet. I sing in another fashion that is closer to the Denver style, to capture the Denver flavor when needed. I also put on a bit of a non-English accent in places to capture the Domingo side of the song. Note that my natural operatic tendency is to sing more similarly to Domingo than to Denver, which you can hear in the solo version. Perhaps prior to being coached on singing in the last year, I used to sing more similarly to Denver, at least when I was singing high in my range.
Well done!!!! Great effort!!
