First time figure competitor and Personal Trainer Anita Albrecht hits a local park in Doha for her cardio training.

This is the second day Anita tried out some of Figure Olympia Champion Jenny Lynn's stadium climbing and sprint training, at Dahl Alhamam Family Park, Doha Qatar on 20 April 2007. A different type of cardio session for your glutes and legs to try and get a tight lower body and good separation in those muscles! Anita on this day is 11 weeks and 2 days out from her first two figure contests. She is competing in Wales and Manchester on the 8th and 15th of July 2007 at the BNBF Champs to try and qualify for the British finals in the figure class.   • @1BusBoy1 no a dynamic warmup basically stretching but not sustaining the stretch more like moving

  • You do Need to stretch before a workout, however you need to do dynamic stretches and not static stretches. The stretch she does at the beginning is a static stretch and generally is best utilised at the end of a workout.

  • Yes, many studies as of late have shown that stretching relaxes the muscles and weakens contractions. So you should not stretch as part of your warm up before doing heavy resistance training. However, you still want to do light stretching as part of thorough warm up before sprinting as the risk of injury is too high if you do not.

    In both cases make sure to get a good deep stretch as part of your cool down.

  • ??? So you would go right into sprints without stretching?? Good way to pull a groin or hamstring... Hell anything in your lower body for that matter.
