I always become a fan at the wrong time. I became a Rush fan like a week after they hit Ohio on thier tour supporting their most recent album and the same thing has happened for Iron Maiden and U2.

Can't remember how much it cost as there wasn't even a ticket. you just paid at the door. Probably about £2 or something like that. The bar was called The Showboat (in Waterford city, Ireland) and it's still standing, though it gave up hosting original live gigs in the mid-'80s. Belfast punk band Stiff Little Fingers played there also.
