  • "Rend, slaughter, devour your enemies! There is no other way to survive! You cannot escape your hunger, warriors of purgatory."

  • I bought it new when it came out, with the deluxe boxset. I support Atlus.

  • Sometimes I prefer this version, sometimes I prefer the Japanese one. But I do know that I REALLY don't like the ending of this version.

  • The song in this opening is "Danger" by Etro Anime, in case anyone is curious.

One of my favorite video games, of ever.

  • I love this more than the japanese version (the music in the japanese version [that I really love] don't fit with this opening, too bad). :D

  • I first heard this is 2004 when DDS was just coming out, I had Etro Anime's CD "See the sound" and thought... where have a heard this before? and before I knew it, I realized it was from their CD and kept DDS ever since, ATLUS knows how to choose good music for their game OP and have it relate to the game's story.. (unlike SE and FFXIII...)

  • This was the first Atlus game I played and I can now see why so many people are saying their games have so much better quality than any other RPG

  • I love this song~ the original opening w/ Pray has it charms, but i feel like this song fits the mood of the game a lot more :D

  • @Wyrdwad Well... i did a little trick downloading the song and putting it in the soundtrack XD

  • @Crok425 - It's unique to the American version of the game. The Japanese version used a song called "Pray," which is nowhere near as good IMHO. I'm guessing Atlus was unable to get the rights to that song for American distribution, so they replaced it with this one... and for a change, I actually think the replacement is far superior to the original. As do most people, it seems!

But yeah, since the soundtrack was published based on the Japanese version, this song isn't on it.

  • I can't found this song on the soundtrack T-T
