  • too helpful!!

  • Sorry, I am not understanding your question. Can you write the complete equation?

  • @pastephens19 The problem is that there is also an x variable. so what do i do with the x variable?

  • @ManlyAsianDude

If you are asking how to solve y=(3y-4)^2, then try this:

    Distribute: y = 9y^2 - 24y + 16

    Get one side of the equation to zero: 0 = 9y^2 - 25y + 16

Then either factor or use quadratic formula to get y to the first power.

  • What if there are 2 terms with the same y variable? (eg. y=(3x-4)^2; When you distribute there is a 9y^2 and a -12y. How do i get y to the power of 1?

  • thank you so much! you helped perfectly!

  • Wow finally someone that makes it so simple!

  • Merci
