@keilandin1 Hey! Yes,since we won the CES 2012 Innovations Award we featured it at CES and had a Japanese textbook loaded to it. Each time we would show someone who read Japanese they would flip out as to how precise the detail is to each character.

@nerys71 Through our research the battery life on the jetBook Color will last at LEAST 5 years. In that period of time we have entire warranty and upgrade programs available so if there is an issue or you want to change it for something else you'll have that option.

@ECTACO thats an issue. NO small lithium battery last "so long". the issue is not "PER CHARGE" the issue is what happens in 3 years when my $5 battery in my $500 gadget goes puke (and it will) small lithium's typically last about 3 years.
The issue is not life per charge. the issue is "TOTAL LIFESPAN" of the battery. when I spend $79 its not such a big deal when I spend $500 its a VERY big deal :-)

@nerys71 Right now, it's permanent. Since it lasts so long (like any other typical e Ink reader) we decided to lock it in place.

А почему интерфейс на русском? )

@ECTACO ?? so is it a permanently installed battery or can it be removed without having to cut or desolder?
-
@nerys71 No replaceable battery option yet but there are no proprietary connections...at all!

@ECTACO OMG I want this so damned badly. I am squirling away every penny so I can buy one next month. NOT ONLY color but 1600x1200 display. EXACTLY what I need so badly!! please tell me no proprietary connections (power & usb) and replaceable battery?

@azaad4eva Actually, any book (or textbook) that has pictures in the text is most likely in color that was converted into black and white - even chapter titles might be color! Another beauty is that you're not stuck to a bookstore or a content provider, having the jetBook Color support so many formats lets you create and load your own content for work, school, or anything else.
but why is it so huge.. its a step backwards from the portability of the current e-readers.

@bloodbp We have a 5 inch reader line called 'jetBook' but this one is more oriented towards education and student/teacher usage. It can also be used by business professionals and anyone else who wants to store any documents they may have in color and on the go.
