Understanding Lloyd's | The Corporation

Unlike the Market, the Corporation isn't directly involved in insuring risk - it's there to oversee the market, strengthen the Lloyd's brand, protect Lloyd's trading status and manage it's various financial assets. There are teams that look after Marketing, HR and IT as well as areas like finance, strategy and investor relations. In all there are around 700 people working directly for the corporation.
