  • Even worst. America has supported Islamic fundamentalism in Afghanistan through the Pakistani ISI who distributed the money to Islamic fundamentalists.

America has supported Pakistan knowing full well That they funded groups like the Taliban, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed

Secularism was an evolution of thinking based on rationalism rather than religion. It's been around since the Greek Democracies and the Roman Republic. You don't know this? Republic is a latin root word and Democracy is a Greek root word. Modern secularism was founded during the age of enlightenment when science was beginning to provide answers for the cosmos. It is a product of reason and not superstition, like your Islam.

I am secularist Arab too but he is right secularism is on decline in the Arab world.

  • I'm an arab and a secular socialist.

  • Turkish society was never secular. Its secularism was imposed on it as a condtion by the victors of WW1 through ataturk. Secularism today is more about having the freedom to be immoral in the name of having the freedom to define your own morality. Israel's problem of having its existence threatened has nothing to do with the decline of secularism. Even secular Abu Mazen would love to see Israel gone and Palestine reinstated.

  • Europe invented secularism as an answer to its medieval dillema of different christian sects fighting each other and the persecution of non christian faiths. The west was doing these crimes when different abrahamic religions were living in peace in the middle east under the caliphs. So basically Islam is better than your "secularism" and the middle eastern Islamic society had an answer to coexistence before your secularism even existed. They don't need your immoral secularism

  • The West ha also to accept its share of blame for this. Islamists in the West are free to roam around and spread their poison unobstructed. Islamists in the M.E get considerable support from those islamists residing in the West.
