Bangladesh has seen a rapid rise in terrorist acts by Militant groups in recent years. Although their activities started in the mid-1990, the successive governments were either reluctant or incapable of capturing the perpetrators of repeated deadly terrorist acts which resulted in death of nearly 200 innocent people [Ref 1]. Embolden by the Governments' consistent failure to apprehend the criminals, these outfits launched a massive campaign of terror, including suicide-bombings in 2005. Finally, the killing of two judges in a court house by suicide bombing and the unprecedented blasting of 500 bombs within hours across all corners of the country on 17th August 2005 shook the nation. BNP-Jamaat Government followed a fast-track passage of justice on the captured terrorists. Death penalty was handed to a number of the masterminds,
