I had both the serpentine belt & A/C belt replaced and the noise persists. Possibly need to replace the idler pulley & tensioner pulley? UPDATE: I had the pulleys replaced. This fixed the problem.

  • I just read your update. Cool.

  • I had the same problem and it ended up being the idler pulley.

  • hmmm... sounds kind of like what I have right now. I was thinking the 2 belts and the 2 pulleys too. Mine sounds like it may be the Valve Cover Gasket too. Im sure all these parts are old on my 2001.
