Shiny Torchic - My longest hunt so far ENDED!!!

I finally got my Shiny Torchic =D
5 MONTHS of SRing finally paid of now that I got my Inferno Torchic xD

Last night, I was SRing while talking to Shinycollector7 and Shayminate, who both got theirs yesterday.
Soon after they left, Shiny Poochyena appeared for the third time.
I did record it, though it's quite a big file.

Soon after that, I went to bed, doing the last 10-20 resets of the day. I was fully focussing on my DS, when suddenly Shiny Torchic showed itself =D

Just like my second Treecko, it appeared amazingly fast after Shiny Poochyena. Less than 100 for sure xD

It's Relaxed natured, which isn't great x.x
Ah well, the least I care about with shinies is their nature =P

Can i soft reset in soul silver?

How do i do it in a ds lite?

Is this gonna mess up my game in a long term time?

You Soft Reset the game by pressing Start, Select, L and R at the same time.

im a big fan of pokemon but.... what does it meen when a pokemon is shiny? ive never owneda shiny pokemon before. can anyone explain it to me?

A shiny pokemon has a different color than the normal version of a pokemon.

For example: Nidoking is purple, but Shiny Nidoking is light blue.

The chance of finding a shiny is 1/8192 (0,012%) for every encounter you do, that's why people hunt them.

Question: Ive been hunting for a torchic on ruby for a while and ive been using my gb advance sp, i also have a ds lite. now are my chances better on the ds or on the sp???

@christhiancore yes you can! ^_^ save against the pokémon you want and press L+A+select+start until it become a shiny.

My first shiny was a Shellos(E), but i started with Piplup so i left it in the box the whole game, i was actually devo that i got it shiny, seeing as it doesnt differ much to the regular sprite.

I found a shiny golbat in emerald in victory road. In soulsilver I found a shiny rattata that fled in the safari zone.I transferred my golbat to Diamond, its now a shiny crobat. I restarted my emerald file, and I found a shiny ditto, which I found 2 days ago. I couldn't catch it cause it changed into my latios. I critical hit it by accident. Btw, the day after the shiny rattata, my pupitar got pokerus. Since it got pokerus, I had to get a new larvitar. The new larvitar I got had 31 iv in attack.
