I personally want to thank you for going down there to help. I was born and raised there--not there anymore, but N.O. is always my home. My mom's house survived, but many of my friends lost everything--some lived in Lakeview 2 blocks from teh 17th St. Canal. It's coming back though--you can't keep New Orleanians down !

Stark contrasts between Chocolate city and the suburbs. Too bad the media is focused on partying in the Quarter. I was there when the waters came rushing up Pakenham.
