I remember that Seagren won this competition a few years in a row and bought a house in Rotunda since he made more money at the Superstars competition than he did in pole vaulting. Then they changed the rules he had to retire as winner and he got screwed with that.

Do you have the closing sequence from The Superstars? The music used was "What's The Buzz" from "Jesus Christ Superstar."

This was truly novel at the time. (I remember as a boy how exciting it was and talking about it at school for days!) These guys were the real deal - superstars! It was a truly fun - and surprising competition. Thanks for posting this vintage treasure.
