Another shot at the scenic route from Tombstone to Sierra Vista, AZ. This time with a wide angle lens and some HEAVY post-production: Two passes of four image enhancement filters (deinterlace, noise reduction, saturation correction, and image stabilizer) over ~30GB of video. Phew!

  • Great job pete! Music was a great choice. My only thing is while watching this I couldn't help thinking ..Does this man ever have to stop to go to the bathroom? How long of a trip was it?

  • Even if I wanted to, it's not like I can just go behind a tree--you won't find too many of those in Southern Arizona. Small growth spurts along seasonal streams like the one at 1:57 and other irrigated areas like city parks are about as good as it gets. Besides, the scenic route from Tombstone to Sierra Vista is only ~31 miles.

  • wow nice, where did you do this? sony vegas?

  • Most of the image processing was done in VirtualDub using my collection of 3rd party filter plug-ins. One of the de-noiser filters that I used was meant for Adobe Premiere so I had to go in there for a little bit. Eventually, I tied the whole thing together in Sony Vegas.

  • is it more easy in vegas?

Anyway its great to look at suck vids, so you work greatly appreciated

  • Ha! If your "K" finger wasn't so close to your "H" finger, I probably wouldn't have concluded that you've mis-spelled "such." (I don't think "suck videos" are allowed on YouTube.) In any event, I'm running Vegas Pro 9 and Premiere CS3. Of the two, Vegas is more intuitive, supports more file formats, and makes better use of the CPU. I started out on Premiere and I still keep it around, though there's hardly ever a need for me to go into it for anything.
