NM4: Pretty much a perfect run here. Beats my previous best NM4 by 4 seconds. No delays getting to the elevator, I get on it as soon as the door opens, and there is no tank up top, which is key. A tank on this map is pretty much an auto-restart for an optimal run. Just not enough room to evade. Time: 2:53

NM5: The key to a good time on this map is getting no early tank, and not getting boomed on. Fortunately neither happen and minus a ladder snag and some confusion with the first tank thanks to a single common infected, there are no problems. Probably 10 seconds lost with those two delays, but even so this is my best NM5 time by 1 second. Time: 4:49

Total gameplay: 12:20

I think 20 seconds or so could be shaved off this, but given the massive amount of spawn luck involved and the fact that in many tries this run has my best times in 3 of 5 chapters, I'm pretty content with this.

I'm taking my time with this second round of runs to get as close to perfect as possible, but I intend to improve the other 3 campaigns as well. More to follow.

  • Smokers and HUnters!?

You can get to the elevator before an SI spawn if you're moving fast enough. Then if you get in the room which I held out in, they will get stuck in the adjacent room due to a pathing glitch. They spawn normally in the finale.

  • u cheat cause u can shove the zombies away from you all the time

  • How is that cheating? The game allows it. Melee fatigue in the first L4D was only in versus.

  • how come your the only one ? an how did you get him to say all them things (forgive me cause i play l4d & l4d 2 on the xbox 360) so i dont know

  • On the PC version you can open the game's console and kick the bots with console commands. It's easier and faster than switching the difficulty to expert every round and killing them. You can also setup vocalization binds through the console. For example, inputting: bind n "vocalize playerlaugh" in the console will make it so every time you press n, your character will use his laugh vocalization.
