This film was presented at the UNFCCC COP13 in December 2007, Bali, Indonesia
at the event Development and Climate Days, hosted by IIED
Climate change means more extreme weather and more disasters world-wide. Millions of people are suffering from the consequences and it is the poor in the poorest countries that are most affected. The Red Cross is supporting the vulnerable communities to deal with this new challenge.
This film attempts to look into how climate change exascerbates the existing flood problem in Jakarta and how the Indonesian Red Cross is responding to a changing climate. For more information contact the authors Tak-yan Fiona Ching: takyan.ching@ifrc.org and Isabelle Lemaire: isalemaire@yahoo.ca
